The Rabbit Hole Cafe and Food For Thought

Serving up delicious vegan meals and great company each Friday afternoon.

About May 8, 2010

Served in the Yellow Door’s cozy basement, the Rabbit Hole Café is a safe haven where students living in Montreal can enjoy a warm meal and some great company on a Friday afternoon (12:30 – 3:30 pm). To be accessible to everyone, the meals are always vegan, and as often as possible, gluten-free. The Cafe’s companion Food For Thought pantry is open during the same hours–any McGill student can stop by and pick out a bag of groceries every other Friday, for free! Both programs rely on volunteers and are co-sponsored by McGill Chaplaincy and The Yellow Door.

Throughout the school year, we are always looking for help cooking, serving, cleaning, organizing workshops (food safety and preservation, cooking, body image, anti-poverty, and sustainable food systems are just a few examples of past topics), and promoting the programs through postering, food drives, and bake sales. Please shoot us an email at if you’d like to get involved in any way!
